Douglas Macmillan are a Stoke based charity who provide care and support for patients with terminal illness or symptom support. Douglas Macmillan rely heavily on charitable donations and support from the public and local businesses. As long term supportes of the hospice, Listers got involved to help with their latest initiative.

On Wednesday the 30th of May, we took a group of customers to an all expenses paid training day learning about the Roto Roof Window product. We were able to get our customers in front of the actual manufacturers and recieve expert advice and one to one training.

Tuesday, April the 24th was a day that our staff would never forget. As a thank you to our staff we arranged for them to be visited by two top premiership footballers from Stoke City. Rory Delap and Mamady Sidibe paid a visit to our offices and even took part in sreving someof our customers on the trade counter.

Lister Trade Frames have made it seven years in a row as finalists and winners of the national G awards. This year we've even surpassed our own expectations and have been nominated in three categories. Customer Care, Health and Safety and Trade Promotional Campaign of the year. This is a huge honour for us and we're delighted to be back at the G awards again.

In July this year we were delighted and proud to launch our very own I-Phone app. Available on the app store by simply searching for Beacon, our customers now have 24 hours a day, 7 days a week access to their quotes, order confirmations and technical information.

Developed by our very own ICT Director Andrew Lister, we have embraced the latest technology to enhance our offering to our customers.

Listers get dressed up! 27th May brought around the national ‘Dress Up Dress Down Day’ for Douglas Macmillan. Listers got into the spirit and encouraged their staff to dress up as their favourite characters in aid of the charity. Throughout the office we had clowns, fairies, pirates, cats, spiderman, Cleopatra, Cruella Deville and even Vicki Pollard. And one of our staff even decided to half shave his head and beard and die it green. We managed to raise just over £1000 thanks to kind donations from the staff and customers. A big thank you to all involved.

Listers have done it again. In 2005 we  were Fabricator of the Year and a mere five years later, we've won it again! To be recognised as the Fabricator of the Year again, especially considering the economic downturn, is a massive acheivement. A lot has changed over the last five years. We've had a purpose built showroom erected at our Govan road premises, we've embraced the Aluminium product range and we've increased our customer base.

We're looking forward to an even better 2011 and we hope that you join us as we continue to improve our offering to you.

Following on from our success the previous year, Listers have once again won an award at the exclusive G awards. This time we are proud to accept the Energy Efficiency award in recognition of all our hard work towards improving the energy efficiency of our products. The environment is high on our list of priorities and our dedication to doing what we can to help preserve it, has been recognised by the industry.

We are delighted to announce that we have once again won an award at the prestigous G08 ceremony. This time we took the Customer Care Award which is a highly contested category. We believe the recognition is down to our forward thinking approach and commitment to providing our customers with a full and varied support package.

Always looking ahead and striving to do better we go beyond the standard requirements by never limiting our customer care to just the basics. In fact we offer an all encompassing service to support our customers in every way possible.
