It's that time of the year again and the G awards are just around the corner. Listers have been ever present for the last seven  years as finalists and winners. As two time winners of the much coveted Fabricator of the Year award (2005 and 2010), we're delighted to be  back once again as finalists.

This time we've actually exceeded our own expectations and have been nominated in three categories. This year we're up for Customer Care Initiative of the Year, Health and Safety Initiative of the Year and Trade Promotional campaign of the Year. We've never been nominated for three awards before at the G awards, so we are delighted that our efforts have been recognised by the industry.

It's been a difficult year for many of us as the economy still struggles to pull itself out of the mire. We've seen several competitors fall by the wayside as the pressure of competing in a heavily populated market place takes its toll. We've not been  immune to the hard times and we've had to make changes to enable us to continue delivering a quality product and a quality service. We've stood side by side with our customers and given them as much support as we possibly could to help them ride out the tough times. That's why receiving these nominations has been a real shot in the arm  for us. It's been hard work and our staff have all performed exceptionally well to keep Listers at the top of our game.

The G awards are the oscars of the Glass and Glazing industry and have been magnificently organised by Tony Higgin. They are now an established part of the industry calendar and there will be some very well known names in attendance at this years gala dinner. We'll be mixing with the likes of  Ultraframe UK, Pilkington Glass UK, Solaglas, Rehau and VEKA UK and we'll all be hoping to come away with an award.

We're hoping that we can walk away from this years event with a new trophy, (or trophies) to put into our cabinet. And if we do we'll be working just as hard next year to make it 8 years in a row as finalists for the G Awards.
